Community Relations: Giving With Heart


Charitable Giving

As a member in each of our communities, we take our role as a corporate citizen seriously. We place a high priority on providing financial assistance to community-based organizations that improve the quality of life where our clients and employees live, work and raise their families.

We provide funding support to community-based programs in the markets we serve that offer assistance in the following Areas of Support:

Areas of Support:

  • Success by Six® – Ensures children are safe, healthy, cherished, and enter school ready to learn;
  • Youth on Track – Engages young people, ages 7 – 17, to be confident, responsible and happy;
  • Essentials for Life – Provides food to eat, a roof overhead, healthcare, and safe productive lives;
  • Community Arts – Offers cultural enrichment and artistic education;
  • Community Flair– Supports community activities and local economic development

Eligible organizations must be a nonprofit, tax exempt, 501(c)3 organization


Application for Funding Support

Please read the following information thoroughly before submitting your request.

Amounts up to $999

  • All requests for funding must be made in writing
  • Funding requests should be submitted a minimum of 30 days before the funds are required.
  • Please limit proposal to two (2) double-spaced pages. Proposal should contain:
    • Description of the organization or event;
    • Amount of funding requested;
    • Indicate which "area of support" the funding will support i.e. Success by Six®, Youth on Track, Essentials for life, Community Arts, or Business to Business;
    • Complete explanation of the activity;
    • Description of benefits or considerations the bank will receive;
    • Description of (any) account relationship(s) with Pacific Continental;
    • Board of Directors list;
    • Organization’s address, telephone, and email address;
    • Description of benefits or considerations the bank will receive;
    • The bank reserves the right to request additional information.

Amounts $1000 & Over

  • All requests for funding must be made in writing 
  • Funding requests should be submitted a minimum of 60 days before the funds are required.
  • Please limit proposal to five (5) double-spaced pages. Proposal should contain:
    • Description & mission of the organization;
    • Amount of donation or sponsorship requested;
    • Indicate which “area of support" the funding will support i.e. Success by Six®, Youth on Track, Essentials for life, Community Arts, or Business to Business;
    • Complete explanation of the activity;
    • Goals of program, how results will be measured;
    • Description of benefits or considerations the bank will receive;
    • Description of (any) account relationship(s) with Pacific Continental;
    • Annual Report, if available;
    • Board of Directors list;
    • Organization’s address, telephone, and email address;
    • Name of key contact;
    • The bank reserves the right to request additional information.

Application for Funding Support (PDF)

Pacific Continental Bank will not fund the following:

  • political parties, candidates, causes, or campaigns;
  • organizations practicing unlawful discriminatory practices;
  • activities that generate a tangible or personal return;
  • payments that cover the cost of services, tuition, books, or student fees;
  • dues payable to alumni groups or other membership organizations;
  • subscription fees for publications;
  • gifts to individuals;
  • trips or tours;
